Fall is close

Well we are getting ready for football and school. Yesterday I took the kids to the football scrimmage. It was Lawren's first game and I'm sure NOT her last ;) They did really well and Jaxon seemed to even watch for a little bit. He kept pointing to the field and saying "Da" Lawren is trying to walk and gets closer every day. Jaxon will start MDO school in a few weeks and we hope that goes well!!

Summer!!

I've been a bad blogger and thanks to Shawn for calling me out on it ;). We just had Jaxon's 2nd Birthday this past weekend. He keeps saying "I, two" over and over. Went swimming with his cousins and had a blast. Lawren has two teeth and is crawling everywhere! She is pulling up on everything she can and is even starting to let go. I fear that she'll be walking soon and then it is all over ;) Talk to you soon! (I promise)

This past weekend we went to Lampasas for Cousin Jenna's 2nd Birthday Party. Jaxon had a great time and was completely wiped out! He has a new obsession--forks. He wants one at every meal but won't use it to eat. He just wants to hold it and at home he wants to run around with one. I'm the mean Mom that says NO!!! Lawren is trying to crawl more and more everyday. She really wants to go all the time. They have a good time "talking" with each other. She cracks up at Jaxon all the time. . . especially when he gets upset and cries.

4 month check-up

We went for Lawren's appointment this morning and she is doing wonderfully! She is now 13.5 pounds and 25 1/2 inches. He said that she is perfect. . .I swear he actually said that ;) Jaxon did not have a great time at the doctor. He thought he was going to be getting the shots. Hopefully her shots won't keep her down for long. We get to eat cereal now and veggies in a couple of weeks. Exciting stuff happening here! ;)

This month has been great here! Miss Lawren rolled over for the first time on Valentine's morning. Once she learned that she could there was no stopping her. By the end of the week, she was rolling over and over. Also, trying to start doing the inchworm!! What am I going to do when they are both moving ; ) Jaxon has really become a wonderful big brother. He comes up to her and puts his head on her stomach ( that his hug to her). They just look at each other and smile and laugh. Thank heavens we finally like each other!!!

We went to Lawren's 2 month check up last Monday. She is 11.5 pounds and 22 1/2 inches long. They were pleased with her growth and I'm just glad that she's not so tiny anymore! Jaxon didn't enjoy the wait and thought he was the one getting the shots when the nurse came in the room. Jaxon seems to like Lawren now. . . at least sometimes. They were both sitting in my lap the other day and just laughing and smiling at each other. Hopefully that will continue! ; )

Christmas is almost here

The shopping trip went really well. She had a blast and it completely wore her out and she slept almost all night. Logyn and Misty met us for lunch and that was really fun. Emily and Logyn had a good time staring at each other. ;)

Brrrr!!!!!!!

It is cold! I think that says it all ;) Things are busy here at the Hutt House. . .can't believe Christmas is here. Lawren and I, along with my sister, niece, & great-niece, are going shopping in Ft. Worth tomorrow (her 1st shopping trip and long trip). She is making it earlier than I did. . .my Nina took me to Dallas when I was about 3 months old to shop. Hopefully, Lawren will not be as 'good' at shopping as her mommy. Jaxon gets to hang out with his Nana and Pawpaw while we go so everyone will have a good day. I am ready to get out of town for a little bit!!
Lawren is getting bigger everyday and growing more hair. People stop us everytime we go out and marvel at her full head of hair. Bring on the bows!! Jaxon will now look and even get close to his baby sister. He thinks that she is funny. Progress. Now if I could get them on the same 'schedule' life would be amazing.

Happy Thanksgiving!!

I can't believe that it is Thanksgiving. . .very different from last year's 6 inches of snow! Took the kids on the first walk yesterday in the double stroller. It's like driving an 18 wheeler without power steering. Anyway, Jaxon had a blast saying "Hi" to everything. . .trees, cars, people, dogs. Lawren just looked terrified the whole time. Hopefully the weather will be nice again soon so we can go again. Jaxon will be 17 months on Thanksgiving Day and Lawren will be 1 month the day after. It has been a crazy month! Now time to Christmas shop and hope we can fit everything for the kids into the house ; )

November 2008

Things are slowly getting back to normal here. Jaxon is getting used to his baby sister but he really isn't liking her all that much. Lawren's schedule is becoming easier and she is sleeping better at night which is nice for mommy!! She went on her first shopping excusion when she was 10 days old to Christmas Carousel. She did fantastic. We are gearing up for the holidays and looking forward to some good food and fun!

She's Finally Here!!!

Lawren Rae Hutt arrived on Tuesday, Oct. 28 at 12:19 PM. She was 7 lb. 5 oz. and 20 inches long. Big brother Jaxon really has just ignored her so far. . .except when she cries and then he cries because it scares him. We are good and just trying to figure out schedules and coexistence.

One week!!!

Just got back from the doctor and we are all set for Lawren to arrive on Oct. 28th at Noon. So much too do before that!! Jaxon is now talking more. . .he likes to count. I'll say "one" and he'll follow up with "two" in the tiniest little voice. He also says "no" alot because he hears it alot ; ) Jaxon and Emily have a fun time playing everyday and make me really tired! Hopefully he'll transition to baby sister a little easier having Emily around.

I love the fall weather we've been having here!! It makes me ready for the holidays and that will be an exciting time at our house this year. We bought Jaxon's Halloween costume today. . .Superman. That should be an interesting experience. I'll post pics when I can catch him and try it on him. : ) Not much has changed here which is sometimes a good thing.

October is here!!

Hi again,
It's been awhile since I last posted but things are always an adventure here! Jaxon is walking/running better everyday and that makes me tired. I'm getting bigger, just counting down the days until Lawren arrives. Jaxon loves the football games but usually wants down so that has been a challenge. My 10 year college reunion is next weekend. . .I can't believe it!! Some of us are going to go the HSU football game and see how many people we don't recognize. Keep you all updated on Lawren!

Football time!

Jaxon and his cousins went to the first Jim Ned game this year last Saturday. They all enjoyed it even if we didn't win. We are going to the JV game tonight and have a full football weekend ahead of us. I take Emily and Jaxon to the pep rallys and they love them! He is continuing to walk more every day and talk more. Emily and Jaxon love to watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and Little Einsteins and they both talk back to the TV. It is really funny. I go to the doctor next week to check on Baby Lawren and her progress. Taking both the kids to the doctor with me is always an adventure!
